the Experience

From connection to images, a curated journey

My Process

  1. LET'S TALK

Tell me what you're looking for, what you have in mind, and what you want the photographs to accomplish. Whether you already have a clear idea or you're starting with, “I have no idea what I'm doing,” that's completely fine. We'll figure it out together.

2. PLAN IT TOGETHER

Once we know what you want, we'll work out the details—location, timing, wardrobe, style, lighting, or anything else the session needs. I want you involved in the process so the final photographs feel like you, not something pulled from a template.

3. THE SHOOT

This is where we actually have some fun. I'll guide you through the process, help with posing and direction when you need it, and make adjustments along the way. There will probably be some joking around, some experimenting, and hopefully a lot less awkwardness than you expected.

4. YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS

After the shoot, I'll carefully select and edit the images before delivering your finished gallery. You'll get photographs that we're both proud of—images that capture the reason you came to me in the first place.

THE BEST PORTRAITS DON'T JUST SHOW YOU.

THEY FEEL LIKE YOU.

Whether you're looking for a professional headshot, a portrait that captures who you are, or simply photographs you'll want to keep, my goal is to create images that feel natural, honest, and unmistakably yours.

FAQ

what areas do you serve?

I provide photography services throughout Nova Scotia, including Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville, Truro, Stewiacke, Colchester County, East Hants, and surrounding communities.

If you’re located outside these areas, I’d be happy to discuss your location and provide a custom travel quote if required.

What should we wear for our session?

Choose clothing that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Neutral colours, soft tones, and coordinating outfits photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on you rather than your clothing.

I recommend avoiding large logos, busy patterns, and clothing with distracting graphics. Once your session is booked, I’ll be happy to provide additional guidance to help you choose outfits that photograph well and reflect your personal style.

How long does it take to get our photos?

Most family and portrait galleries are delivered within 7–14 days. If you need your photographs by a specific date, please let me know before your session and I’ll do my best to accommodate your request.

Do you offer albums or prints?

Yes. While I don’t offer direct print ordering through your online gallery, I highly recommend Atlantic Photo Supply for high-quality prints and photo products.

If you’d prefer to have your prints, wall art, or other products professionally ordered on your behalf, I’m happy to arrange that for you. An additional fee will apply.

How do you deliver my photos?

Your finished images are delivered through a private, password-protected online gallery where you can view and download your photographs directly to your computer or device.

For larger events, such as sports games or tournaments, where there may be hundreds or even thousands of images, I use Sync.com for secure, high-volume image delivery.

Either way, you'll receive your images digitally and have an easy, secure way to access them.

what if I am unhappy with the photos?

Your satisfaction is important to me. If something doesn’t meet your expectations, please contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss your concerns.

Every situation is different, and I’ll always work with you in good faith to find a fair and reasonable solution whenever possible.

do you have a studio?

I don't have a permanent studio — and that's often an advantage.

For headshots and branding sessions, I come to you. Whether that's your office, workplace, or another location that makes sense, I bring the lighting and equipment needed to create polished, professional images without you having to pack up and travel to a studio.

For portraits, we can take things outside and use Nova Scotia's natural surroundings to create something with a little more personality and character.

If a studio setting is the right fit for your session, studio space can also be arranged for an additional fee.

do you require a retainer?

Yes. All bookings require a retainer to reserve your date. Family & Portrait and Headshots & Branding sessions require payment in full before your session.

Sports & Event Photography bookings may have different payment terms depending on the scope and duration of the event, which will be outlined in your quote and service agreement.

What is your cancelation and rescheduling policy?

If you need to reschedule your session or event, please let me know as soon as possible. I’ll do my best to accommodate a new date based on availability.

Retainers are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new date if sufficient notice is provided. Cancellations without rescheduling will result in the forfeiture of the retainer.

what type of payments to do accept?

I accept cash, Interac e-Transfer, and all major credit cards. Payment instructions will be provided when you book your session or event.

If you have any questions about payment options, feel free to get in touch before booking.
