I'm Shawn, a photographer based in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, serving clients throughout Colchester County and beyond.
Whether you need a headshot for your career, photographs for your business, or portraits of the people you love, my job is to make being in front of the camera easier than you expect.
You don't need to know how to pose. You don't need to know what to do with your hands. And you definitely don't need to consider yourself "photogenic." I'll guide you through the process, help you relax, and create photographs that feel like you.
THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHS DON'T FEEL FORCED
You don't have to become someone you're not just because there's a camera pointed at you.
I won't expect you to know how to pose, where to look, or what to do with your hands. I'll give you direction when you need it, but I'll also give you room to move, laugh, interact, and simply be yourself.
Because the goal isn't to make you look like a model. It's to create photographs that look and feel like you.

I think having your photograph taken should feel a lot less intimidating than people expect it to.
I've spent years photographing people in all kinds of situations, and one thing I've learned is that the best images usually happen when people stop worrying about the camera.
So that's what I try to create: a relaxed experience where you can be yourself, have a laugh, and forget for a little while that there's a camera pointed at you.
The photograph matters. But so does how you feel while
we're making it.
