shawn wyrozub
I'm Shawn Wyrozub, a photographer based in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. Photography has become a big part of my life, from working with individuals and families to photographing athletes, businesses, and events across Atlantic Canada. I'm also a husband and father, and my two kids have given me a pretty good appreciation for how quickly the moments we want to
remember can pass.
Outside of my own photography, I'm the President of the Sackville Photography Club and a member of the Professional Photographers of Canada. Photography has introduced me to some incredible people and places, and I'm still just as interested in meeting the next person and finding the story behind the photograph.
Photography has given me the chance to meet some incredible people and be part of moments I never would have experienced otherwise. From families and athletes to businesses, teams, and complete strangers who quickly stop feeling like strangers, that's one of the things I love most about this work. The photographs are important, but so are the people and experiences
behind them.
My philosophy
People first. Photographs second.
Photography should be something we create together. I want you to be involved in the process, to feel comfortable in front of the camera, and most importantly, to have fun while we're doing it. We'll talk, experiment, joke around, and figure out what works — because some of the best photographs happen when you stop worrying about being photographed.
My goal isn't simply to create an image I like. It's to create something you're genuinely proud of.
